Tags & Markers

Tags are short peptides widely used in recombinant DNA technology to assist protein expression, identification, and purification. Tags may also be used to monitor recombinant protein trafficking in live and/or fixed cells. On the other hand, markers specific for proliferation and subcellular organelles are useful tools in biomedical research. For example, the proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA), which is an integral part of DNA replication machinery, is a standard proliferation marker for evaluating cell division of normal and neoplastic cell populations. In addition, to evaluate the effectiveness of subcellular fractionation, or to identify the location of a protein of interest, it is necessary to include a marker that is specific to a subcellular faction such as nucleus or organelle such as mitochondrion. At Genuine Biotech, we provide high-quality antibodies to these tags and markers to ais your biomedical research.
