Knockdown-Validated Cell Lines

GenuIN Biotech has developed a series of knockdown-validated (KD) cell lines using its proprietary ShGE™ gene silencing platform.

 

shRNA (short hairpin RNA) mediates gene silencing through the RNA interference (RNAi) mechanism, specifically reducing the expression of target gene mRNA, thereby achieving long-term silencing at the mRNA level. This technology is widely used in both basic research and drug development.

 

We use lentiviral vectors to stably integrate shRNA sequences into the host cell genome, resulting in sustained and stable gene knockdown. This method is particularly suitable for cell types that are difficult to transfect or are non-dividing.

 

The KD cell lines generated through infection with validated lentiviral particles exhibit the following key features:

  • Knockdown Validation (KD).  Each cell line is rigorously validated for knockdown efficiency using RT-qPCR and Western blotting to ensure significant downregulation of the target gene at both the mRNA and protein levels;

  • Broad Cell Line Compatibility.  Applicable to human primary cells, cell lines, dividing cells, and non-dividing cells;

  • Delivery Timeline.  For target genes with pre-existing KD lentiviral constructs, the knockdown cell line can be delivered within 4–6 weeks.
